Different Types of Welding Machines

Swiss type machine is widely used for shaping steel and also for turning wood. The machine is made of high precision parts and the overall work is done by means of simple levers, cams and knobs.

In manufacturing Swiss type machine is commonly used for cutting out the shape of the planks. The steel has to be first shaped by the lathe and then it is cut to the desired shape by means of cutting tool. Most common cuts are ½” through, the miter cut, saw cuts, slot cuts, and the cross cuts.

The tools and machines that are used for cutting the metal using the Swiss type machine are large, heavy and expensive. There are very small tools that are used in shaping the mold for producing several accessories and also for building furniture or even for cutting away the mold.

There are various types of welding used in the shaping of the metal using the Swiss type machine. These are described in this article. The first type is that of gas welding. The second type is that of electrical welding.

The electric arc is produced by a generator. In this process the presence of a steady current is required. There are two sources of electricity that can be used for forming metal by using the electric arc.

The third type of welding is gas welding. In this process the presence of a spark is required. However, here the control of the hot gas is needed. Only a short-circuit system is used here.

There are other types of electrical components and they are used for forming the metal using the Swiss type machine. Examples of these are lamp fittings, etc. Lamp fittings are used in producing the finished product.

The last types of machinery used in shaping the metal using the Swiss type machine are soldering and drawing. The drawings can be prepared by using both soldering and drawing. The drawings are easy to use and also they help to produce the final product.
